HILLARY CLINTON TAKES A PLAY FROM HUSBANDS PLAYBOOK TO COVER BLUNDER

In a move taken directly from the Bill Clinton political playbook, Hillary Clinton in an attempt to take the heat off of her, "misspoken, " remembrance of her trip to Bosnia, under, "sniper fire, " came out for the first time concerning her opinion about controversial Barack Obama preacher Jeremiah Wright.

Stating that he, "would not be my preacher, " in reference to the statements that have been made about The United States by Wright and the reference of God, "d*****g America rather than blessing her, Clinton not only condemned the statements but in essence made a political indictment about Obama for standing behind Wright and not distancing himself from the controversial preacher.

What makes this so blatantly political is the fact that until yesterday Clinton had considered this subject something that she chose to NOT talk about even when questioned. She has avoided this like the proverbial, "plaque, " whenever approached about the subject. Yet now that she has come under fire because of her claim that she was visiting Bosnia as First Lady and came under, "sniper fire, " upon landing, a statement made at least three times during this campaign and has be refuted both by eye witness and video accounts, Clinton now jumps on the Wright controversy to take the heat off of her.

This is a classic move taken directly from her husbands political playbook, redirect when things get hot in order to avoid facing the truth and accounting for problems. During his Administration when the Monica Lewinsky scandal was beginning to take root and the heat was intensifying for Bubba, several times in order to reduce the impact in the media Clinton launched Cruise Missiles into Iraq thus temporarily making the attacks the headline rather than the Lewinsky!

Hillary made a similar move concerning the Wright/Bosnia controversies. In order to take the heat off of her own blunder that has become a big story and an embarrassment to the campaign as well as personally to the candidate, Clinton lobbed a political, "Cruise Missile, " into the Obama camp by bringing up the Wright controversy which had died down to a certain extent in the media.

She has now brought it back to the fore front but her attempt to take the heat off of her situation has not worked entirely as the Bosnia videos and commentary about her stretching the truth as she did have continued in spite of her , "Cruise Missile, " efforts against Obama.

This also shows that anyone who believes that a Hillary Clinton administration would differ from that of her husband is greatly mistaken. At every opportunity in this campaign when the heat is on Hillary pulls yet another play out of the Bill Clinton playbook and follows in her hubby's footsteps. When push comes to shove, she is most likely the author of most of the Clinton political playbook.

The implosion of the Democrats in this Presidential campaign is continuing to escalate as proven by the last two days. When one controversy begins to die down another crops up immediately to take its place. Polls are still showing that the continued implosion of the Democrats is benefiting John McCain as Rasmussen and Zogby have McCain up by 9 and 6 respectively over Obama and by 5 and 8 over Hillary also respectively.

This campaign by the Dems will continue to heat up as the Convention draws closer and the much dreaded floor fight that even some Super Delegates fear is shaping up into one whale of a battle when the Dems convene to nominate in August!

I keep saying it, and we will see if I am correct. This race will NEVER, EVER get to the Convention. There won't be a floor fight.

It is a ridiculous idea.

Obama is going to win the nomination and Hillary will bow out. My guess is that she will step aside after North Carolina and Indiana. If she loses Pennsylvania, then she will bow out the next day.

I have no problem with vigorous campaigning. The one thing that it is doing is drawing large numbers of new Dems to the polls. In Pennsylvania, 120,000 new Dems registered for their upcoming primary. The numbers are staggering and are a very bad sign for Republicans in the Fall.

Rob, How can this NOT go to the Convention ? There are not enough delegates left for either candidate to win the nomination with the Primary States left.

Hillary is still ahead in Penn. and even if either sweeps the remaining Primaries, the numbers will not get the nomination because of delegates being perportioned.

This one is going to the Convention and it will be a fight before all is said and done. The back room dealing for Super Delegates has already started.

I know you have stated that the Supers vote according to their States, but that is not the case when and it is also not required. You have followed politics enough to know that when a politicain has an opportunity to cut a deal what the people of his state think matters little.

A prime example of this is the endorsement of Bill richardson. He is a Super Delegate from New Mexico whic was won by Clinton yet he has pledged as a SD to Obama. So SD do not vote in accordance to State nor will they at or before the Convention.

Whicever candidate offers more to the SD they will get the pledge and vote. As I've sadi before more SD owe the Clintons and also in Dems circles she has won the big States which will play a pivitol role in SD voting!

Ken,

I dont know what to make of all this.

It seems these two are tearing the Democrat party to shreds!

Oh well, good for McCain, he is just out there getting his message out.

Nancy Reagan broke with her tradition of not endorsing any candidate and endorsed McCain :-)

Neither candidate can win with pledged delegates. But, Obama only needs 400 more delegates (pledged and supers) to win the nomination. Right now there are almost 900 delegates that have to weigh in.

I will bet any amount of money the super delegates will vote with the pledged delegates and the popular vote results and will go to Obama.

The super delegates are mostly elected officials. They will side with democracy and all will be well. I guarantee you this won't go to the Convention.

I'll admit if I am wrong and congratulate you on being correct. Of course, I know you will do the same when I am proven correct.

The media and Republicans want to push this whole "this is going to the Convention" nonsense. It simply will not happen.

Ken, I couldn't agree with you more, or disagree with Rob more. I know this is a nightmare for Democrats, but Hillary is not going to concede or bow out. The Dems who think she will don't understand Hillary! Regarding her lies, I doubt she even knows she's lying anymore. She's become a habitual liar just like her hubby. They are truly perfect for one another.

I have to agree as well -- becoming President is too important to Hillary for her to bow out. This will go to a decision via a Democrat convention.

IMO, it doesn't matter which of the two brigands(or brigandette or whatever) gets the nomination, both have hopefully (I say "hopefully" based on their deficits vs the sensibilities of the voting public of both parties) demonstrated enough of their qualities (charactar, alleged policies, affiliations, etc) to disqualify themselves as candidates for the post of leader of the free world.

If this is not the case, the phrase "the American people have spoken" will carry absolutely no weight with me in the future. We'll may as well have elected Angela Davis.
