OBAMA PRESS CONFERENCE UNIMPRESSIVE HAND PICKED SOFTBALLS
Hitting the airways during prime time Barack Obama held his first news conference to supposedly use the opportunity as an avenue to get the American people behind the 838 billion dollar spending bill he calls a stimulus package. His first outing with the press before a prime television audience was unimpressive at best.
All President's have a prepared statement before the conference but Obama is the first I can remember who used a TelePrompter to deliver the statement. Considering how much of a failure he is without one, I was not surprised that he used the TelePrompter. He is well on his way to going down in history as the most scripted President.
His scripted beginning was not the only scripted moment in the press conference. It is becoming extremely obvious that he and his handlers are not willing to take tough questions and that every move Obama makes is designed to make him look good in front of the cameras in order to try and keep the messiah worship alive.
Rather than opening the floor to questions and choosing reporters by the traditional method of hand raising and the President calling on questioners, Obama had prepared a hand picked few whose questions had been screened before hand and deemed softball enough for Obama to answer. Also by choosing prior to the press conference Obama had opportunity to prepare an answer rather than risk stumbling and bumbling like he does off the cuff.
If this pre-prepared pattern continues we have a President who will never receive tough questions and who is not answerable to the American people in any manner. Even his ,"town hall," meetings held during the day prior to the press conference were scripted. As people were ushered into the venues they were screened not just for security reasons but in order to provide Obama with a crowd that was favorable and not risk the chance of a challenging question.
One did slip through in Elkhart, Indiana and she was booed by the crowd while Obama skirted around answering her question. Obama is more interested in image than substance. His appeal rather than in serving the people. Dodging hard questions as opposed to the transparency he so quickly boasts of. A transparency that thus far has not existed.
His first prime time press conference was nothing more than a scripted campaign stump for his agenda and his view of recovery. He is not the bipartisan guru that he claims but a President who obviously believes that his way and his way alone is the only option that can, "save," the country. Even though history shows that his option for economic recovery has failed many times and has never been successful.
His press conference was nothing more than the usual Obama platitudes, empty rhetoric and socialist views. A mirror of his campaign except that now as President it becomes policy and not just campaign promises and high sounding talk. Forcing policy down the throats of the American people is not leadership but dictatorship.
I truly believe that Obama has no desire to serve the people but rather force upon us what he thinks is best for us whether we like it or not. In his mind he knows what we need and he will force it down our throats for our own good regardless of the consequences. This is not the Presidency that our Founders created nor what our free country is about. But does, "the one, " care ? No because the messiah knows best and we had better get used to it. God help us all!

There's nothing to suggest that Obama hand-picked reporters or pre-screened questions. Where do you come up with these paranoid delusions?
this is more of a question. Does Obama hand pick his audience for the town hall meetings. I heard for Costa Mesa he wanted only people under 23
